Hotfix for a crash in the QuickBooks Sync window's Output/Errors tab-header. Clicking either header could crash ROIPOS with an unhandled exception ("'SubTextBrush' resource not found") because the code was trying to look up a theme colour that was never defined. Fixed by pointing the header at the correct existing theme colour with a safe fallback. No store data or in-progress sync is affected — this is purely a UI safety fix. Recommended for any store that has clicked around inside the sync window on 1.66.2.

Small polish fix for the Reconciliation panel and the End-of-Day backup screen: the "copy to clipboard" buttons now retry briefly if something else on the PC is holding the clipboard for a moment, instead of showing a technical "CLIPBRD_E_CANT_OPEN" error dialog. This mostly happened with screenshot tools, remote-desktop sessions, keystroke-automation utilities, and heavy antivirus scanning — anything that momentarily grabs the clipboard. The copy now retries up to 30 times over about 3 seconds, which is plenty for real-world contention to clear.

Reconciliation panel no longer over-reports drift by flagging refund receipts that QuickBooks already recorded correctly. When a store gave a customer their money back in cash, the resulting Credit Memo in QuickBooks has an item line for the refund plus a matching cash-out line on the same document, and its remaining balance settles to zero — that's the standard shape for an immediate cash refund. The reconciliation check used to look at the remaining balance ($0) and flag it as "Store $X · QuickBooks $0" mismatch even though the refund had already been fully booked. This fix stops those false alarms from being created and clears any that were already sitting in the panel as "Amount mismatch · Needs review."

Substantial Reconciliation and QuickBooks Sync improvements. Cancelling a sync is now honest about what it did and didn't do — the pill for the step you interrupted no longer shows a misleading checkmark, and the panel's hero doesn't wrongly flip to "Disconnected" just because you hit Cancel. A new 5-second escape lets you close the sync window if a cancel takes longer than expected. Generating balancing journal entries no longer holds ROIPOS still when QuickBooks is slow to answer. The Reconciliation drift total now shows true absolute drift, and the panel's caption uses the filtered count. Smaller polish fixes round it out — dark-theme step readability, closed-period lock icon contrast, per-period button hover contrast, and a fix for long Reconciliation reports that used to get cut off.

Fixes a 30-second freeze that could happen when reopening a saved-customer's held receipt (a partial fix in 1.65.0 didn't fully close it). Also adds a safety net to the Held Receipts Delete button so it won't drop a receipt another register is currently editing, and cleans up the on-screen message when another register does legitimately delete a receipt you have open.

Fixes a QuickBooks Desktop sync that could get stuck on a "referenced record was deleted" error and repeat the same failure every sync attempt afterward — typically triggered when a card was declined and the receipt was abandoned. If your store has been unable to sync to QuickBooks since the day a customer's card came back declined and you cancelled out of the receipt, install this update and try Sync Now — it should complete cleanly.

Deactivating a customer now blocks safely (and cleanly) when they hold mailbox rentals or are the primary contact on active companies; reactivating a mailbox is now guarded so you can't accidentally bring back a rental for an inactive customer or a company with no active primary. Eight stock-item reports gain an Item Number column. QuickBooks Desktop item mapping now honors sub-accounts and gives you a proper diagnostic when a QB account is dangling. A big pass on QuickBooks Desktop reconciliation. Sync used to hang for 15+ minutes on stores with a large QuickBooks company file — that's fixed, and second-syncs the same day are near-instant. The Reconciliation Issues panel now shows orphan QuickBooks entries (balancing entries in QuickBooks that don't match any ROIPOS receipt — typical after a database restore), and a single "Fix N missing refunds" button at the top of the panel books all of the day's missing-refund JEs at once. "Add to QuickBooks" now opens a compact progress window with a spinner, so the app never looks frozen while ROIPOS talks to QuickBooks. Plus safer defaults on "the JE was already booked — continue anyway?" dialogs (Enter now cancels), a fix for a doubled-amount bug on periods with paired issues, and the exported reconciliation report now matches the panel's closed-period marks exactly.

A batch of reliability fixes. If ROIPOS ever crashed when you opened it a second time on the same PC, if you'd been getting "admin task timed out" errors that only cleared after a reboot, or if the app looked frozen during a long backup or database restore — those are all fixed. On the QuickBooks Desktop side: a single customer with a blank name no longer stops the whole sync (so a bad customer record can't hold up your day's receipts), a customer's street address will no longer show up as their Company name in QuickBooks, and the customer importer now catches missing names in the CSV before writing anything to your store.
