ROIPOS 1.65.1
September 2026
QuickBooks Desktop sync no longer packs your customer list with every walk-in. Stores that had hit the QuickBooks customer-count limit and were seeing a "list is full" error every time they synced should sync cleanly again after this update. Also fixes an occasional missing second copy of a receipt after certain refund flows. #voice-checked
- Fixed The second copy of a receipt sometimes didn't print
- Fixed QuickBooks sync no longer fills your customer list with every walk-in

August 2026
A big HTML Reports pass plus a lot of guardrails around customers and mailboxes. Deactivating a customer now blocks safely (and cleanly) when they hold mailbox rentals or are the primary contact on active companies; reactivating a mailbox is now guarded so you can't accidentally bring back a rental for an inactive customer or a company with no active primary. Eight stock-item reports gain an Item Number column. QuickBooks Desktop item mapping now honors sub-accounts and gives you a proper diagnostic when a QB account is dangling. Plus a stack of quality-of-life fixes across the customer list, package management, mailbox notification emails, pole display, KeyGen, and the admin helper — see the full list below.
- New Deactivating a customer now blocks safely and clears authorized-user links in one step
- New Renewing an expired mailbox now checks the customer is still operational
- New Item Number column on eight stock-item reports
- Improved QuickBooks Desktop item mapping now honors sub-accounts
- Improved QuickBooks sync gives a specific error when a mapped QuickBooks account was deleted or renamed
- Improved Pole display no longer floods support with emails when the port is missing, and survives being unplugged mid-message
- Improved Customer grid shows edits without a tab round-trip
- Improved Mailbox notification emails render correctly in Gmail and deliver more reliably
- Improved Employee name fields trim whitespace on Save, not per keystroke
- Fixed Package Management now releases every selected package, not just the first
- Fixed Companion package list no longer crashes on rows with missing tracking or carrier
- Fixed Customer imports refuse to import rows without required names
- Fixed Held receipt for an account customer no longer hangs 30 seconds when reopened
- Fixed QuickBooks sync no longer aborts wholesale on a customer with an empty name or fabricates CompanyName from bill-address
- Fixed Retired IPS carrier no longer shows in Account Mapping shipping list
- Fixed Second ROIPOS instance no longer crashes the first, and the elevated helper recovers cleanly after long operations
- Fixed Rollback snapshot is now deletable from the unelevated app
ROIPOS 1.64.0
August 2026
A big pass on QuickBooks Desktop reconciliation. Sync used to hang for 15+ minutes on stores with a large QuickBooks company file — that's fixed, and second-syncs the same day are near-instant. The Reconciliation Issues panel now shows orphan QuickBooks entries (balancing entries in QuickBooks that don't match any ROIPOS receipt — typical after a database restore), and a single "Fix N missing refunds" button at the top of the panel books all of the day's missing-refund JEs at once. "Add to QuickBooks" now opens a compact progress window with a spinner, so the app never looks frozen while ROIPOS talks to QuickBooks. Plus safer defaults on "the JE was already booked — continue anyway?" dialogs (Enter now cancels), a fix for a doubled-amount bug on periods with paired issues, and the exported reconciliation report now matches the panel's closed-period marks exactly.
- Improved QuickBooks sync no longer hangs for 15+ minutes on large company files
- New orphan QuickBooks entries now show up in the Reconciliation Issues panel
- New "Fix N missing refunds" button at the top of the Reconciliation panel
- Improved "Add to QuickBooks" now shows a progress window instead of looking frozen
- Fixed no more doubled amounts when generating a JE for a period with paired issues
- Fixed safer defaults on "the JE was already booked — continue anyway?" dialogs
- Fixed exported reconciliation report now matches the panel's closed-period marks
- Fixed QuickBooks memos always show $1,234.56 format regardless of Windows regional settings
- Fixed batch of QB reconciliation copy, guard, and styling fixes from internal review
ROIPOS 1.63.3
July 2026
A batch of reliability fixes. If ROIPOS ever crashed when you opened it a second time on the same PC, if you'd been getting "admin task timed out" errors that only cleared after a reboot, or if the app looked frozen during a long backup or database restore — those are all fixed. On the QuickBooks Desktop side: a single customer with a blank name no longer stops the whole sync (so a bad customer record can't hold up your day's receipts), a customer's street address will no longer show up as their Company name in QuickBooks, and the customer importer now catches missing names in the CSV before writing anything to your store.
- Fixed opening ROIPOS a second time no longer takes down the first one
- Fixed "admin task timed out" errors that only cleared after a reboot
- Fixed ROIPOS no longer looks frozen during a long backup or restore
- Fixed QuickBooks Desktop sync no longer stops when one customer has a blank name
- Fixed customer import now catches missing names before writing anything
- Fixed QuickBooks no longer shows a customer's street address as their Company name
ROIPOS 1.63.2
July 2026
A handful of small but useful fixes: backup-alert email storms are gone (the 'we tried to email you every 10 minutes' floor is now 6 hours between resends), the Companion app's Package list no longer stumbles on packages with a missing carrier/tracking number/name, the Package Management screen now releases every package you selected (not just the first), customer emails (renewal reminders, package-arrived notifications, etc.) render properly in Gmail again and land in Inbox instead of Spam, and edits to a customer's name show up in the customer list right away without switching tabs.
- Fixed backup-alert email storms — resend floor raised from 10 minutes to 6 hours
- Fixed Companion Package list crashed or hid rows with a missing carrier/tracking/name
- Fixed Package Management — 'release' now releases every selected package, not just the first
- Fixed mailbox notification emails — Gmail rendering + landing in Inbox instead of Spam
- Fixed edited customer name now shows in the customer list without switching tabs
ROIPOS 1.63.1 Current version
July 2026
Fixes the biggest one first: the backup-health chip in the header could get stuck showing gray 'Unknown' at stores on the installed version, which silently disabled the backup-health warnings and alert emails — the chip and alerts now work again. Also: the Reconciliation Issues panel no longer prints the same 'matcher confirmed no mismatch' line twice, the '( 1 items)' grouping label now correctly reads '( 1 item)', and pressing Escape now cancels the 'confirm destructive action' dialog (previously the only way out was to click Cancel).
- Fixed backup-health chip could get stuck on gray 'Unknown' — no warnings, no alert emails
- Fixed Reconciliation Issues panel: cleaner row notes and grammar
- Fixed Confirm-destructive-action dialog: Escape now cancels
ROIPOS 1.63.0
July 2026
Reconciliation issues are now easier to notice: the QuickBooks tab and the Receipt Reconciliation Issues tab show a small orange count badge whenever there are open items to review, and every QuickBooks sync that surfaces new mismatches now shows a 'N need review · Open' button right in the sync-complete window so you can jump straight to the panel. Also fixes: the 'Login failed' dialog that could pop after restoring a backup from the Settings Wizard, and a 30-second hang when re-opening a held receipt for an account customer.
- New Sync-complete window now shows a 'N need review · Open' button
- Improved QuickBooks tab now shows a count badge when there are receipts to review
- New Post-sync toast when QuickBooks sync surfaces new mismatches
- Fixed 'Login failed' dialog after restoring a backup from the Settings Wizard
- Fixed 30-second hang when re-opening a held receipt for an account customer
ROIPOS 1.62.2
July 2026
QuickBooks sync no longer stops on a batch of receipts just because one of them has an old configuration problem (a stock item missing its department mapping); the Receipt Reconciliation Issues panel now shows each receipt's original sale date next to the detection date and groups items into the correct fiscal quarter (not the quarter you happened to detect them in); the panel's period cards render top-to-bottom newest-first; and QuickBooks amount-mismatch warnings stop repeating in the sync log once you've acknowledged the row in the panel
- Fixed QuickBooks sync completes even when some old receipts have configuration issues
- Fixed Reconciliation panel: each row now shows the receipt's original sale date, and rows group by the correct fiscal quarter
- Improved Reconciliation panel: closed-period lock icon now respects QuickBooks' own Closing Date setting
- Fixed Reconciliation panel: acknowledged rows stop generating repeat warnings in the sync log
ROIPOS 1.62.1
July 2026
New Admin → Company Preferences → Payments setting to skip printing a receipt when the transaction total is $0.00 (opt-in; off by default; wasted paper on comped/discounted sales), plus a fix for the Datacap installer 403 that was aborting fresh-PC installs at the dsiEMVX / dsiPDCX bundle step
- New New Payments setting — don't print a receipt when the transaction total is $0.00
- Fixed installer no longer 403s on fresh PCs at the dsiEMVX / dsiPDCX bundle step
ROIPOS 1.62.0
July 2026
New Receipt Reconciliation Issues panel in Admin → Company Preferences → QuickBooks: catches receipts whose totals don't match what QuickBooks has on file, groups them by fiscal quarter, and lets you either mark them as reviewed or book a single balancing Journal Entry to close the gap; the same panel exports a printable / emailable report for your accountant, and its safeguards prevent a duplicate Journal Entry when QuickBooks already has one on file (a common shape after restoring a QuickBooks backup)
- New New Receipt Reconciliation Issues panel — see every receipt whose total doesn't match QuickBooks and clean it up in a couple of clicks
- New Generate one balancing Journal Entry — for the whole period, for a selection, or for a single receipt
- New Guardrail: warns before booking a duplicate Journal Entry when QuickBooks already has one on file
- New Automatic re-linking after a QuickBooks backup restore
- New Printable / emailable Reconciliation Report for your accountant
- Improved Cloud backup self-heals if the Backblaze key rotates out from under it
- Improved Splash screen shows granular progress on launch

- Fixed USPS packages scanned at mailbox intake no longer get tagged as the wrong carrier
- Improved Admin → Remote Support button now opens the Zoho Assist join page directly
ROIPOS 1.61.0
