Configuring Windows Firewall Ports

Steps to allow access to Firewall Ports #

Go to your ROIPOS Server computer.

Windows 10, 8.1, 8.0 and Windows 7

  1. Go to Control Panel.
    Windows 8.1 and 8: Right click the Windows button and select Control Panel.
    Windows 7: Click Windows Start and select Control Panel.
  2. In the View by dropdown, select Small icons.
  3. Click Windows Firewall.
  4. On the left side of the window, click Advanced Settings.
  5. On the left side of the window, click Inbound Rules.
  6. On the right side of the window, click New Rule.
  7. In the New Inbound Rule Wizard window, choose Port and click Next.
  8. Enter the necessary port numbers. (see Point of Sale Firewall ports below). Note: If a port is both TCP and UDP, you need to enter the port twice (once for TCP and once for UDP).
  9. Click Next and name the new inbound rule .
  10. Restart the computer and open Point of Sale.
